Rooster seems off

Ivermectin here is recommended for the leg mites, not the worms. Ivermectin probably will not treat worms, since they have developed a resistance to it because of it’s overuse as a mite treatment. I would still do the SafeGuard as well if you want to treat for worms.

ok should i continue with SafeGuard i just gave him his first dose today. Is it a 7 day treatment with SafeGuard? I'm praying its not Mareks disease. I had a rooster pass away 3 years ago from that. Where do I get ivermectin? Its just topical not internal or is it both?
It is significant if you had a rooster with Mareks 3 years ago. That might be a cause of the leg lifting, but I wonder about the leg mites. Can you check his crop early in the morning to see if it is empty, or if it is full and puffy or firm? When he puts his head back in the video, it looks like he is swallowing something, either mucus or something coming up from his crop. I would continue the 5 day SafeGuard and get the ivermectin to quickly treat his leg mites. You can also coat his legs in vaseline or another oil as well to smother the mites. It probably would be good to get a baseline weight on him as well. He is a handsome rooster with such gentle eyes.

I know it scares me because I had one pass away from that terrible disease. Thank you, he is a beautiful rooster i got him for $20 at a swap poultry meet. He is supposed to be a show quality rooster. So gental and sweet, that its hard to believe. Ill weigh him too. I know I can't what exactly he is doing when he does that with his mouth.
