Ivermectin is meant for internal worms, however it also treats mites. You put it on their skin and it is absorbed. So its a treatment for the outside of the body not inside right? Thanks!

It is significant if you had a rooster with Mareks 3 years ago. That might be a cause of the leg lifting, but I wonder about the leg mites. Can you check his crop early in the morning to see if it is empty, or if it is full and puffy or firm? When he puts his head back in the video, it looks like he is swallowing something, either mucus or something coming up from his crop. I would continue the 5 day SafeGuard and get the ivermectin to quickly treat his leg mites. You can also coat his legs in vaseline or another oil as well to smother the mites. It probably would be good to get a baseline weight on him as well. He is a handsome rooster with such gentle eyes.ok should i continue with SafeGuard i just gave him his first dose today. Is it a 7 day treatment with SafeGuard? I'm praying its not Mareks disease. I had a rooster pass away 3 years ago from that. Where do I get ivermectin? Its just topical not internal or is it both?
I know it scares me because I had one pass away from that terrible disease. Thank you, he is a beautiful rooster i got him for $20 at a swap poultry meet. He is supposed to be a show quality rooster. So gental and sweet, that its hard to believe. Ill weigh him too. I know I can't what exactly he is doing when he does that with his mouth. It is significant if you had a rooster with Mareks 3 years ago.
