Rooster Semen Question

All 3 boys are Easter Eggers, also the hen.

I'm expecting, a mix of Calico, Partridge, & Birchen/partridge splits. I'm thinking some red blue Columbians maybe possible too. But I'm only raising them to 12 weeks before giving them to our friend. They free range their birds, so I want them to be good, & ready.

In the males of common livestock species, sperm is generally the clear fluid. I would assume that it would be the same in roosters. The milky-colored fluid is seminal fluid. (or seminal plasma) Its function is to transport, protect and nourish the sperm.

I plan to AI some of my hens. I haven't gotten around to it yet, so I have no words of personal experience or advice. If it was my rooster, I would likely try the clear fluid and see if it works. It would only take a few days to see if the eggs were fertile.

I have another question.

I was testing out if my project Silkie cockerel would be a good giver of semen. But everytime he got stimulated by the stroking, he'd poop. I didn't get a single bit of sperm from him. How do I deal with this issue? Did he have too big of a meal before I tried?

Police officers tell you that if someone is trying to take advantage of you, you should poop and/or pee as this may discourage the person attacking you.
Perhaps your rooster is trying to give you a message. He may not like to be stroked.

He tensed up like a rooster should when you stroke them for sperm.

I think the opposite, because he wanted me to take him out of the coop awhile after the process.

Well...
I've read that if the technique is superb, in some instances the receiver of said stimulation farts, poops, crows, laughs, and falls into a deep sleep even snoring into a blissful state...happens in humans as well.

I have a doggy crate, but I'll have to put it in the run, since it's too big for the henhouse. But, I'll pick a day to that. I'm not in a big hurry, or anything.
