Rooster started humping my TV remote.😱

I only have one rooster, no hens in sight.
I was hoping it would turn out to be a hen but it didn't work out that way.
I knew this day would come, but I didn't know it would come this soon. 😭
He has been humping my hand and the remote for a few days now.
Luckily for me and the remote,
he wears chicken diapers. 🙊🙉🙈
So, what do I do now?
I have no option on getting more poultry,
I shouldn't even have him either.
But I hatched him as an egg
and now I'm in love with him. 🥰🥰🥰
He is a indoor rooster pet.
I blame Covid 19 boredom
for hatching him out. 😷😷😷
I don't know how to add a video so I only have pictures. 😁
Isn't that what rooster do with the hens?
My BB rooster did that to me one time, I was sitting down with him and he started humping my leg.

Goodness. XD I didn't even realize that was you. I'm sorry you're feeling it was personal, but that sounds like a you problem. Sorry you're still stuck on that I guess?

Not that I NEED to have authority but... I've got nearly a decade in chicken keeping. I've lost track of how many chickens I've had. I've had a dozen different breeds and varieties from lots of different sources. I've raised at least one batch of roosters pretty much every year. And I've had a few I had to keep in substantial confinement long term (months) for quarantine reasons or the separate roosters that were getting aggressive or bullied or to grow out for breeding.
Comparing experience is pointless, though, because facts are facts and reality is reality. I could be a toddler reading a study and the study would still be true.

I see zero health issues with this house chicken, personally. But I also see a lot of outdoor chickens with health issues. I don't think this situation is any more detrimental than countless others.

If we could test for stress hormones or something that would be one thing. But given that we don't we can't really definitively say either way.
Uh huh sure. I’m not stuck on anything. I told you what I thought about it plain and simple. No worries. No that doesn’t make the study true. What kind of logic is that? How many studies have been done and the *facts* are later rendered false based on a new and improved study. The point is you’re just going off what other people have said, done or studied and then stating it as fact. I could reference tons of studies that have been disproven and I’m sure you could too. That’s the reality. You’re just arguing for the sake of it now and not making much sense especially since it came about over a joke about keeping a gerbil.
Somewhat dull don't ya think?

I dunno, it was entertaining enough for you to keep posting. :lau I'm sorry you're really anti-science, on top of being anti-correct-terminology.

I mean, I was just making a point that we keep all sorts of animals in captivity regardless of the size of their natural range, including gerbils since you brought them up. It was a fun fact. I even said so. You're the one who took it personally mate.

I think the subject in general is really interesting. And felt bad the OP was getting so much hate for something that's really more culturally bad than factually bad. If you're bored you can always leave. :p

Technically I agree about keeping animals in cages. I keep some roosters in pens but most are allowed to be loose 100% of the time.
I also referenced an elephant in an apt. If you look hard enough you might find a study saying elephants are just fine in an apt ya know as long as they get the love and attention they need oh and peanuts. 😝

WELL ACTUALLY..... *pushes glasses up face*

Nah. If I told you you'd just say that the studies could be proven wrong in the future. XD

Maybe, someday, there will be an elephant living in apartment that you can experience for yourself and find out. :lau

I’d need at least 3 studies with the second and third confirming the first study’s findings. Good luck finding 3 studies that have been done about keeping an elephant in an apt. I have a game of Candy Land waiting on me so I gotta go for now. 😂

@ChocolateMouse you are very good at this debate thing and I really admire that. Thank you for bringing REAL ACTUAL facts and REAL FACTUAL studies into play. @Hei 20 I know this has been said time and time again, (I just read the whole thread) But I am sorry for the haters and you have my full support. I really admire how devoted to that chicken. Based off of what you have said (seeing as you are the only one who has met the chicken my logical brain says only your facts about his well being and how he feels are valid) he is a happy healthy chicken who loves his momma!! Why can't people support that? Go you and go Hei Hei!!! He is very handsome, btw.
