My flock was attacked by Fox this morning and my rooster tried to protect them but ended getting hurt really bad. I shot the fox and it flopped across the yard, when I found it to put it out of its misery (the bullet broke the front left and back right legs) I looked back and saw the rooster raised its head. After killing the fox I walked towards the rooster and he walked away. Currently I'm feeding him and giving him water (picture below) while he's walking he'll raise his head but when standing still he lowers it. I've identified 3 small puncture wounds around the base of the neck, is there anything I can do to help him?

All you can do is clean his wounds very well and apply some neosporin. My rooster was hurt in much the same manner and hung his head for days. Tommorow your fella might be sore and not leave the coop, you will have to make sure he eats and drinks if this is the case. You will be able to better judge him tomorrow as he is running on adrenaline right now.
