Rooster with a cold?

We have been chicken owners for a week. This morning when my husband went to let them out he immediately noticed he was not crowing. We have watched him all day and he started wheezing and just laying around. He has a clear drainage coming from his nose. His face and legs are extra warm possibly fever. We have separated him from the girls. We have 9 hens. Don't even know where to begin with treating him.

Try vetrx in his nostrils and down his throat for a couple days.

We have Tractor Supply and Orschelins in our area. Is that something we can buy at either one of those?

Yes. It's in a brown bottle with a white cap. Comes in a little yellow and red box. Cost around $8 or so.

Sounds like respiratory...
Give electrolytes homade or store bought.
Give him dill and thyme leafs it helpers my red ranger roo out of a respiratory sickness.

Well after some TLC and isolation from the 9 hens that we have, our rooster is on the mend. When my husband opened the door this morning he was crowing like crazy. It was a good sign for us at least. Thank you everyone for the advice and comments. I took him back out this morning and the girls were glad to see him!
