Rooster with green poo and weak crow

Discussion in 'Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures' started by outback hatcher, Nov 10, 2010.

  1. Rooster is about a year. History of great and frequent crowing. Noticed the past few days he has not been crowing much, and it is weak, kinda sickly. I was in his pen this morning and seen him poop green, the same color as the outside of a lime. There has been no change in diet or routine. Other chickens in the pen look the same as always. What could be the problem?

Green poop could indicate that he's not eating. Is he eating and is there something that couldve caused him to stop eating? I recommend giving him plain yogurt mixed with scrambled egg to eat for a few days. A few drops of poultry nutri drench in his water for several days will help as well.
