Rooster with lots of saliva?

He’s still young then, poor guy. Hopefully he gets better. :hugs

When he gets the saliva, does he seem to have trouble breathing and eating? Does it bother him at all?
How is he acting over all?
If possible, take a look into his mouth and look for any yellow patches, and smell for any foul odor.
Is his face swollen at all? Any bubbles in the eyes? Sneezing? Runny nose?

Vitamin D is fine to give, but I would stop the calcium since I’m not sure it’ll help with his issue, and extra calcium is hard on roosters. If you can get any Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench, those have lots of good nutrients that would benefit him.

What types of food scraps do you give him? The general recommendation of ‘treats’ chickens should have, shouldn’t be more than 10% of their diet. It does depend on what’s given though and I think it’s not as big of a deal as some make it out to be. (But again, depends on the food.)
What’s the type of food that’s his that he eats? For a rooster an all flock feed or chick starter is best. It has higher protein and doesn’t contain much calcium like layer feed, which isn’t good for roosters.
"When he gets the saliva, does he seem to have trouble breathing and eating?" .. NO, i came close to hear him breath and his breath was normal and have no problem when eating and breathing

''Does it bother him at all?''
i don't think so, he just keep swallowing his saliva

"How is he acting over all?" .... he is acting normal tbh, he gets the saliva whenever he wants to sleep or take a rest but when he's awake it gets away

Hm, well in that case I think I would just let him be, and watch him closely.
How much saliva does he actually get? If possible pics would help too.

Looks something like scratch, and a typical chicken feed. I asked cause my rooster was eating longer pellets and it may have been harder for him to digest and eat them. So maybe smaller pieces of food would be better, you could test it out. Or make a mash out of the chicken feed.
