Do you mean bantams? If so, you care for them just like any full size chicken. The benefit of bantams, IMO, is they don't require as much space and don't consume as much feed ;)

My Nankins roosters always sleep in the nest boxes with the Silkies hens.
every night during the winter, they will sleep in there with the silkies because the warmth.
Sometime i thought the roosters was lost, i looked around the coop and outside, then I looked inside the coop and watching the silkie's bodies moving.
the roo's head pop up middle of the hens's body. its so cute when they laying between them.

BTW
I have 2 nankins roosters.

Some of our roosters will actually escort the hens around the nestboxes, getting in and showing them it -- kind of like a salesman. It's so cute!

But the roosters also will do it for warmth, comfort, company, etc.

And then there are the weird ones who go broody for a day. I have no idea what's with them.

this might be a little late to add in but just because a rooster is 5-6 months old doesn't mean he will crow because i have a rooster he is around 9 months now and he only crowed once so does not mean they will crow they don't have a specific age to crow it depends on the roosters their self .. i have 2 bantam roosters different breeds but they get a long really good but lately after my old english game bantam/ frizzle hen had to be put down he has been after my millie fleur cross hen so they have been getting in some fights so with some rooster if they have a hen they like the best and another rooster trys to take they could fight but thats only with my birds i have no clue if thats the same with all breeds but if there is any other questions about rooster i have quite a bit of them of all different breeds so i might be able to help with some stuff u need or about hens anything u need

We had a Dom Rooster that would go into the nest box when he was younger. Haven't noticed him in there for a long time now. I suppose he found something he likes to do better now!
