Roosters or hens?

The buff one isn't pictured well enough to tell in my opinion. I don't even see long feathers anywhere on its neck. But those other three are no doubt roos. Did they sell them as hens or did your husband just guess? If the buff on is a hen you need to separate it very quickly

What a terrible thing to do to someone. You were taken advantage of. You could try to contact the seller, but I have a feeling someone that would do that in the first place wouldn't give a refund and take the boys back.

All birds pictured are mature roosters. The buff bird partially pictured may be female. No question that the seller knew they were male.

You have to get rid of the roos - they’ll kill the hen by overbreeding her. Then get some more hens.

All are cockerels/roosters. All are also old enough to be crowing. I find a very hard time believing the seller didn't know this. I would be contacting them immediately.

Omg, what a nightmare. Yeah, my six year old came to me and told me one of our new “girls” was attempting the “wedding dance” (what the kids call it when the chickens attempt to mate, idk ) with our established hens.
