Rooster's severely infected shanks! What should I do?

The avian vet there actually gave me a break on the exam twice. They were for 2 different chickens.

I would think if they have a coupon (after they TOLD him to go online and fill it out) if they needed the business, they would accept it, new customer or not. Obviously it has been the parents going there, now it is time for HIM to be a new customer.

Maybe soaking the foot in warm water first and then trying to squeeze it out?
Were you able to take him to the vet yet???

I also notice he has scaly leg mites, have you seen that, treating that real quick and easy yourself in a few minutes will help his recovery from the shank infection, once there is diagnosis and a treatment program perscribed.

So the vets office just called me and said they don't do the coupon on birds for first free visit. WHATEVER....kid still hasn't gotten back to me, I PMed him.

Let me know if you hear anything! When I got the break on the exam, it wasn't up front. The vet did it after seeing my chickens so depending on the vet, he could give them a break I hope! I hope the rooster is doing OK!
