? Rope twine looking thing

My female Pekin duck is about 3 years old and lays eggs often but she has this rope twine looking thing about a foot long coming out of her chest I tried to pull it but it’s stuck in her or something should I have tried to pull it out? Please help

Your going to have to post some pics. Have you looked into her feathers to see where this is attached her skin?

Are you sure it's stuck into her skin, and not just wrapped around a feather or group of feathers up close to the skin?
