The only place left to go is the media. Fox news is the only one that might go with this.
I would think that they would need more than these pictures for proof.
Something needs to be done for our troop, more than serving rotten food to them.
His CO should have done more, or maybe thats where the problem is.
Maybe no one can complain for fear of being forced to resign.

Military food has always been gross. I remember when I was in the service, we were eating powdered eggs that were laid way before I was even born.
I remember watching the cooks sift the rat turds out of the flour.
The simple fact is that most of the food in Iraq and Afghanistan is shipped in. They cannot trust the local suppliers. Those people would love to poison our troops.
The nearest country with clean, safe produce would be Israel, and that is not an option.
In Viet Nam, we went weeks with just the rations in cans. We learned to eat it. We would open the cans from the bottom because there would be two of three inches of pure grease on the top side. Sadly, the Viet Namese loved the stuff. They were happy to get it.
I still have a can of potted meat I am keeping for some unknown reason.
KBR, the supplier, is headquartered in Texas and is a joint stock company. However, my gut feeling is that most of the stock is probably held in Arab hands. That may explain why they have the contract.
Everyone should cut and paste this to their congressman. Its an election year I am sure every state has a congressman or senator who is a vet who is up for election. I sent it to our local Alan Boyd He has done alot for the vets and uses that as part of his election spiel. Thank God my son is on his way home from Iraq as we speak. He wasnt at this base but I am sure it was just as bad where he was.
