One of our 4 is laying some strange eggs.
They are approx 1 year old and have been laying since around may (southern hemisphere).
The bird in question is a light sussex. She lays every day, her eggs have always been smaller than the other birds but otherwise normal. For the last few weeks I have noticed her shells have got rough and they appear to be getting thinner shelled. Sometimes they have a little damage from the others laying after her (she is always first).
They all eat the same food (layer pellets) and have access to oyster shell but some ranging around our garden.
Any ideas on the cause and should I be concerned about it?
