Round up Pesticide

We have to get rid of the privet in our back yard. It is very invasive they say to cut it to the base and spray round up. Could we just fence off the area for a day? What do you guy think?

If you were to use RoundUp, I would fence the area off for quite a while, even up to a month. I would suggest looking for a more pet-safe option, if one exists.

It's best to never use it, but sometimes it's just the right choice. I'd fence off the area longer though, and wear protective gear when using it.
Can you keep mowing the new privet shoots this season after cutting it to the ground?
Other choices would be better.
