Roundworm in poop

Are they all the same breed?
It's .23 ml per pound so if they are all four pounds then 1ml would work.

Can you weigh one or two to be sure you aren't under dosing them?

They are not all the same breed, I have Wyandottes, buff Orpingtons, barred rocks, black sex links, and true blue/green whitings

I'd weigh them each or guess but guess on the high side.
Under dosing won't work.

Are any of them molting? If so, you should know that using fenbendazole (Safeguard or Panacur) could cause feather damage.

If they are not molting, use fenbendazole. When fenbendazole (Safeguard and Panacur) is given in small doses for five consecutive days there is a zero day withdrawal for treating large roundworms and cecal worms.

This thread explains one way to do it:
Safeguard Mash - Zero Day Egg Withdrawal

If they are molting, I think I would use pyrantel pamoate, piperazine, or levamisole. None of those are approved for use in laying hens, so all would require an egg withdrawal.

I found one reference from a vet that says not to use any of the benzimidazoles during molt.

"3/ fenbendazole- a useful drug, has the disadvantage that it and other drugs in the same group cannot be used during moulting otherwise a ‘fret mark’ will form in the feathers that were growing at the time of treatment."

Yes - they are molting. Some look very bad.

So no deworming? Or use the other you recommended? What is the egg withdrawal for them?

Or I can retest fecal in 1-2 months.

The literature I have says not to use Safeguard during breeding season or during molting. Can you call the vet and ask them for their opinion?
