Rude inconsiderate hunters!

It's a shame when bad hunters give the good hunters a bad name.

There was a write up in our local paper about hunters dumping deer. A local guy found 2 dead deer at the end of his dead end road. They hadn't taken anything from the deer. Just killed them.

Another thing that irritates me is the amount of extra trash on the side of our local roads only during hunting season. It's everywhere!

I'd call that a poacher not a hunter!

Up here it is illegal to take the antlers out of the field prior to harvesting the meat. If you don't want the meat most food pantries or charities know folks who would be happy to except it from you.

They could AT LEAST give the meat to raptor center or a wolf rescue. To just let it rot....Gezzzz.

Yes, this is a rant. We have a hunter come to our property to thin the herd and to provide us with meat for the winter. We're very careful about it and giving thanks to the animal for it's life and sustenance.

Today we saw buzzards in a huge flock. DH went to look and sure enough there was a deer carcass!! It wasn't the hunter who hunts our property, he hadn't been here for weeks. Whoever shot this deer let it fall on some one else's property and all they took was the antlers and tail!

It was already several days old and had been gut shot so there was nothing to be done with it.

Yup, that chaps my arse. Ridiculous to let good meat like that go to waste. I just don't get it.​
