Where I live my biggest predators will be overhead (eagles/hawks/ravens) as we don't have a lot of the predators you guys down in the lower 48 have. My biggest ground predator concern is neighborhood dogs and cats. I thought about burying the run fencing but noticed no one up here really does that. But if I do, how to you deal with the run access spot? We'll need a fence door so we can go in and clean and change food. Wouldn't that be the best point for any digging creature to get in? And if so, how do you fix it?

Add stone pavers or a wire mesh skirt. All of our outside dog kennels have 12"x12" brick pavers. They are 1 dollar each so for 10 bucks you can shore up your "run access spot". They also have the added benefit of knocking down mud since it is a high traffic spot. Another option is to pin wire mesh to the ground out from the run. Predators dig at the fence line and not out several feet to tunnel.

Pavers at a fence entry.. Hope this helps!
