*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

I'm on it now and using Google translate and I think it works pretty well translating. I've just started reading. It does say "Indian walking ducks" when it translates to English but that's no big deal!

That translation is correct :p We think they are walking and not running :p But I personally think the person naming it 'walking duck' just didn't have enough snacks in his hands. :p

oooooh we got it. :D

But eeeh pictures... I promised pictures immedeately... but it is still doing the peepee dance...Which is hilarious. I might take a picture of that. But it is not hilaraious because it is stressed out :'( But also so hilarious because it looks so funny :') But it is stress :'(

Poor duck. It's 1,5 day later now. It is ofcourse calling out for it;s mates in Germany; but allthought she tries it will not cover 4 hours in a car. Getting in the group is a hassle. Our cat is scary. Our pond and pool and eveything is different and scary. Eveything is scary.
Due to a hailstorm with unusual big hail, allthough they were heavily still pecking to decide rancks, we decided to put them in the small closed shelter that is 3 by 3 ducks only for emergency's. They came out as more of an group. But still not as a whole; but it looks promosing, in a really, really fast way. When she is more relaxed I will try to do a fotoshoot with her. (And better weather).

Till this far it is...weird.
weird.
I'm a female.
Birds is as always has been a hobby for men over here.
I have found out that men that have interest in birds like my partner (by me, he thinks they are fun and that is the interest, not the breeding) and other male men like me haven't taken me seriously. I was talking about how I thought the Indian runner breed must be improved and why I wanted to go to Germany for a duck. gazillion times. And now they have seen it. 'ooooooooh!!!'. And they suddenly don't ask my partner stuff (birds are not his passion, but they always thought so since I have them and he is a man so...so he got to listen to for him 100000 boring birdtalk that I find 100000 intersesting talk). And ask me for gentics and stuff even =/ Weird.

But the duck; wow. Sorry. But I was so right. Not because I want to be right... But you can see sooo clearly now that all the Dutch Indian runner ducks are no where pure bred...
We only kept two 'pure bread cough cough cough Indian runners'. You can cleary see the wild duck mixed inside in it recenlty. In different levels.

I got my first runners yesterday. The duck is almost solid blue, her name is Scarlett. The black drake doesn’t have a name yet, as well as the fawn and white drake. I plan on getting some more ducks, and maybe one day get some show quality blacks and mallard coloured runners.
