The warrior shot out of the den, picked the kit up by the scruff and set it down with Whiteshine in the nursery. Whiteshine put her paw on top of Batkit so he couldn't go anywhere.

“No, no let me go!!” He tried to scrabble away. Birdkit slipped over Whiteshine while she was busy and slipped under the warrior into the medicine den. “Mama?”

Feathersky whipped her head around and saw the kit. She hissed quietly under her breath. If the kit's got it.... No, she wouldn't even think about it. She quickly snarled at the kit "Get out of here, there is sickness!"

“Bu-but you let Owlkit stay and mama sick. The Shadowclan leader said the only cure was little bits of Water Hemlock.” She started to shake in fear for her mother.

"Owlkit has a very badly injured leg! I need to care for her 24/7, just like your mother!" She snarled again, trying to get the kit leave. As for the water hemlock, she wasn't just going to use something that could kill a cat just because a kit said to!

Bramblestar waved his tail to dismiss Lilyflight, and once she was gone, he exited his den and started walking to the medicine den.
 
Sunstrike and Bluetail nodded excitedly when Emberfeather said to split up, so they went the opposite way that they did. They slunk quietly through the undergrowth until they spotted a thrush pecking at seeds on the ground. Bluetail went around quietly to the opposite side that Sunstrike was on, then with a flick of his tail, he dived at the bird, which naturally the thrush flew up and the opposite way. Sunstrike leaped up when it was right over her and hooked it with her claws. She brought it down to her and bit it's neck before it could make a warning call to all the other prey around.

Birdkit hissed and then walked away, mistrustful I’d Feathersky.

Emberfeather and Ravenwing stalked onward until they saw a rabbit. She flicked her tail and then Ravenwing walked to other side. She chased the rabbit to him and he caught it.
