Feathersky was busy organizing her herbs. The rain from the day before had flooded the den. She wrinkled her nose as she spotted a moldy pile of burdock root. She kept it up high so the kits didn't get into it, otherwise, they would get a bad stomach ache. Feathersky pawed it down. "Rainpaw?" she called to her apprentice.

Sunshine padded into the light of dawn as the chill of leaf bare flooded her bones. The glimmering stars faded into the creamy morning light.

Whiteshine followed Sunshine out of the camp with her apprentice Sunpaw trailing her. Sunpaw was whining to Whiteshine about them having to do battle training instead of hunting prey for the fresh-kill pile and Whiteshine calmly explained, "Your weakness is in battling, you need to build that skill up so it is just as good as your hunting and tracking."

Lilyflight began walking to camp with her catch. She passed a patrol with Whiteshine, Sunshine, and Sunpaw, and with her mouth full of different kinds of prey Lilyflight could only manage a nod on her way past.

Whiteshine and Sunpaw politely nodded back, even though Sunpaw was obviously jealous that Lilyflight was able to go hunting instead of her. As they continued to head towards the battle training grounds, Sunpaw was able to catch a mouse and she buried it for when they returned.
