Bramblestar didn't swallow, instead it got to a point where he was wheezing and you could barely even see his chest rising and falling. "My kits..." was all he could manage to say

She rested a paw on his shoulder, not caring of the dangers, hoping to bring him some but of comforts in his last moments. “They are safe,” she whispered, before she knew he was gone. Please wake up, please wake up... You have more lives!

Slowly, his boils, blisters, and rips began to heal. Once they were completely gone, he took a deep breath in and lifted his head, looking around. "6 more left." He said grimly, then stood up and walked shakily back to his den next to the nursery. He tapped on the wall of the nursery softly and whispered softly "Lilyflight?"

Lilyflight padded out, sensing something was wrong. “What happened?” she asked anxiously.

She followed him, worried as she wondered what he would say. She had to fight the urge to help when he stumbled, knowing she couldn’t risk passing it to the kits.
