*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“And what is that threat?”

“What should I do about Flykit?” she asked suddenly.
"The Dark Forest." He said softly with a glance at Skykit. Poor kit... He's going to have some big responsibilities... "Make Sunstrike his mentor." He nodded at the blue/gray scrap of fur

“Can you say sometime that makes sense?” She wrapped her tail protectively around her kit. “Firestar, please. You can’t just push this all on me at once.”
"Let her live her life. She's smart. She'll figure smething out."
“I know she is,” Snowfrost agreed. “I’m just worried about her. It feels like I should have done something.”

"Right, sorry. I'm just a little stressed at the moment." He sighed. "Skykit has a big role to play in all of this. Sunstrike needs to be his mentor."

"What more could you ahve done? Flykit was meant to be this way. You'll see."

“What role can he possibly have? He’s a kit!”

“But I’m her mother! It was my job to bring her into the world safely, and I didn’t.”

"When the Dark Forest comes, he won't be." He replied grimly. "He'll be a warrior. A young one, but still a warrior."

"But you did!" She insisted. "It's just her genetics. Most white cats with blue eyes are deaf. I don't know how this Clan doesn't have more deaf cats as it is."

Lilyflight didn’t responded. She looked down at her adopted son with a mixture of emotions: Pride, worry, anger that he had to have his kithood overshadowed with this danger.

“I guess.” But she knew that deep down, no matter what anyone said, she would still feel a prick of guilt.

"He'll still have a normal kithood, I promise you that."

"She will be okay."

“He better.” She glanced at Bramblestar, sleeping across from her. “Why does he have to die?” she murmured, half to herself.

“She will. She’s smart and strong,” Snowfrost agreed.
