Good Show!!

New Roo, was actually a stray from the woods, obviously a dump off.He is Super tame, couldn't ask for a better one especially with keep kids. Only prob is he is scared of the hens so I am working on his own pen with a few younger, smaller girls.

I WONDER HOW THE HECK ANYONE LET THIS BEAUTY GET AWAY!

Thank u so much!!I have only ever had game chickens who are dominant by nature and one odd white roo who was just nasty, hubby took care of him. This one is extremely docile, is that typical of the breed? He seems to enjoy it inside way more than out with the other chickens,so I allow it.Oh boy, what's one more in this madhouse??

How does he look?Good for breed type?I'll get better body shots,I'm just wondering if he came from a big hatchery order.I am on the hunt for more now,but not 25!!

Shoelby08 that's a good find! He looks to be about 2 yrs old or so and has some good points form what I can see in the pic. Here is our fb group page and our website. https://www.facebook.com/groups/uscaorloffs/ http://orloffsociety.wix.com/russianorloffsociety

gander007 there isn't necessarily a "market" for spangled with too much white. That is just a bad Spangled which can be taken advantage of to work an all White Olroff line. Yes some prefer the whiter Spangled but depending on how much whie is the difference between a good and a bad Spangled. Here are my "whiter" Spangled which I am taking advantage of to work towards White Orloff by selectively breeding for the whitest offsprings.

I wouldn't object to a reliable partner with whom to work on the whites. I know there are some pure whites in the US...just a matter of separating them from their current owners. I have one part of the puzzle (which I will not disclose here and now) but I still need some good stock to bring into my program...cocks and/or hens.
