Does someone have a LF RO ROOSTER for sale?

Sarplaninec, I was doing some reading yesterday and read that pullets raised during spring will start laying around October sthraight through winter as where hens older than a year will slow down even stop laying during the winter months. Not sure if it's true or not but all mine are under a year & still getting 10-12 eggs a day. Also forgot to mention that I keep a white light on till around 7pm and have a heat lamp or two on 24/7. Hope that helps a bit in getting your hens laying some this winter.

Nearest airports are about half an hour unless they let people into Brunswick now which is less time. We've got a spring show coming up here in Maine too in a few months time so maybe then. I might show my RO at that time. They are slow to grow so they look a lot more like bantams at this time... large ones but still. I am spoiled by the memory of this one rooster I had who stood about 3ft tall. He was just fantastic. The Congress is a HUGE show. There are sales there too.
The mottled project took a break when the hen I planned to use became lunch for a critter.

I have some Large Speckled Russian Orloff's roo's that are only 2 weeks old and they will be up for sale in another 6 to 8 weeks as I am finding I have more then original anticipated

What age are you looking for ????

And I would need to ship as I am in the Zip 93562 this why I need to wait to ship

I have some pretty poor pix in my history somewhere. I wasn't too good at pic taking till I got this new camera but you can see him standing in a large dog crate and his head is at the top. LOVED that bird.

ash the old Orloff used to stand that tall from what I've read. They where known to grab food of the table standing firm on the floor. It would be nice to see a pic even if it's blurry. I'm not sure what airport we fly into as I've yet to be on one of those flights to Maine. It gets pretty cold in a elicopter this time of year so I only limit my flying to maintain currency. I'll check with the pilots see where it is they go though and let you know. If it's close enough to you I can loan you Eli for breeding.Sorry to hear about your hen. The ones I've lost have more than probably been to my negligence in dealing with them in the cold. I hope to be better prepared next winter as I've been doing a lot of research. Didn't find any egg from Eli today unless it's buried in the floor as I have about a foot or so of bedding. I did manage to still round up eleven eggs today. My neighbors enjoy it since I give them eggs every few weeks.

For those who haven't seen the potential difference in birds after their first adult molt. These girls are actually only 11 months, but they matured early (hatched Feb '12, first eggs at 18-20 weeks), and I think that triggered a winter molt. Going to hatch a little later this spring, hoping to push the molt more towards the 18 month mark.

So jaw dropping gorgeous!!! They look like they turned into dark mille fleur BTW my #1 pick for breeding allowed the cockerel to mount this morning so yay- eggs shall come soon....
