I have never seen RO's like that but there are different types and
it might take a couple of more weeks to really tell but RO's do not
have waddles or cones and grow slowly and eat a good amount
of feed but are so friendly and always under foot .....

Hi gander, Glad you got your flock refreshed! All my chickens are half grown or babies right now. I'm growing them

I hatched last weekend from some shipped eggs on auction.

I got ahold of a few more eggs to incubate and will have a little variety granted I can hatch them.

Really enjoying these chicks.

Gander, they look like your bottom picture but i am not sure about wattles. i have seen the smallest of a comb on a couple. they are a bit younger, week or so. i did buy them at TSC from the manager. this is what she told me they were then when i went back because i questioned it, the woman that takes care of them said they never had orloffs. i do remember reading the were the specialty bird, making a come back . i will wait a week and take some more pics. out of the brooder. thank you

Surprise of surprises this morning- one of the 24 week olds gave the gift of an egg! Everyone is right and they are all pullets. The one that laid her 1st egg is one that I had banded blue thinking it was a boy at about 3 months old. I can tell it was her because she is the only one with rose red lines on each side of her beak whereas the other girls her age are still pale pink. I wasn't expecting anything from them until at least 7 months old;-) Gorgeous egyptian eyes on all the chicks yall!
