He already has a number of chickens. He is just trying to decide what he wants to add to his flock. He does need to make up his mind though. Slink, I look forward to hearing about your Sandhill order. Tell your friend to decide: meat, pretty or eggs. They can have both but there are some birds that are better than others for one thing. If I were to order again I would sure want some of the Chanteclers. They are second in line as favorites after the Orloff, but I like Breda and Krainkoppe too. And Dominiques and Sumatra. Are you sensing a trend in the comb area

I really like the partridge as well, I'm a big fan of the color. But I decided I'd rather just work with one difficult color pattern and went for white so I could focus on type. It was also nice that I was able to get eggs from a very reputable breeder, ended up with two nice pairs to work with.
I got mine from Gina Neta, she's actually on BYC. Her birds have been in the winners at various shows and in Poultry Press multiple times. I thought YHF had Dorkings, not Chanteclers.
