People are going to call me mean but when you give them $$$ for animals they should have been paying better attention to you are just perpetuating bad practices. Because he sold these to you he won't say anything to the hatchery about quality or do anything toward improving his supplier.
If you had gone to a bad puppy breeder and paid them $100 to "rescue" a bady bred ill treated puppy form them you're just paying them to be bad breeders.
The feed store I go to looks at their chicks and separates out any with issues. It isn't that common because they use only real good hatcheries, but it happens. The damaged ones are either kept by their employess or given to good people they know will try and give them a decent home. If they get to many they let the hatchery know and if it happens agains look for a new source.
