I had the second attack from a predator in less than one month.

They attack in the morning. Maybe foxes.

I slaughtered all my chickens.

I had to.

I don't have money to improve my coop and make it better.

I don't want to poison predators and other animals.

But, I will continue posting and asking and reading about chickens.

Because learning is the biggest prize in life.

I can't trust anyone in Greece. Most people in my country feed their chickens only chicken scraps. This is the worst thing ever. I wouldn't like to see my chickens suffering this way.

I continue having budgie parrots and I am thinking to buy texas A&M recessive white quails (only females) for eggs. They can adapt better in cages made for this purpose (quail keeping), I can have them in my yard and I won't have any problems with predators.

Many keepers, especially professional farmers, use poison to kill predators.

I would never do such an awful thing.

1) I slaughtered my chickens because I didn't want to allow a predator to kill them.
2) Poison, dear, in cat food or dog food to kill foxes, hawks, owls, etc.

There are many ways to protect flocks from predators without using poison and without killing either!
