Let me tell you how I got Sadie into see the vet. My oldman and myself drove the 60 miles round trip to the vets office. We are in a very rural area so this is why I think I had a hard time finding someone to see her. I had on a light terry cloth zip up jacket. I held Sadie inside the jacket covering her up and it looked like I was trying to keep a kitten or puppy warm.

When we got inside the receptionest{sp} asked who was being treated today. All I said was I needed to speak to the doctor. Within 10 minutes we were in a room. So far so good. Once the doctor saw Sadie those rules of his went right out the window and he went to work. I don't know if it was the desperate look on mine or Sadies face that made him help us. Doesn't matter, we got the help we needed. This doctor rocks and will be getting all my business from now on.

I'm so glad to hear that, Sara!!! And it's even better that he won't have to do surgery!!! POST PICS ASAP!!!!

Here is a pic of Sadies right side. This is the wing that was snapped off at the bone. There was no trama to this side and no bleeding. I will post pics of her other wing later tonight. Gotta get old man off to work so he can pay vet bill.

You mean congratulations to sneaking the chicken in the vet and getting him to treat her. LOL This will definately be added to my many crazy animal stories.

Thanks for the congrats and for thinking of us.

Here is a suggestion. Put on a really large coat. Stuff goat inside coat and walk into vets office with attitude like you are supose to be there. Then when you get into a room the gig is up, just refuse to leave until you get the info and meds you need. lol It worked for me but of course a chicken was easier to hide. good luck to you and thank you for thinking of us.

PEACE,

SARA
