Safest way to transport cockerels

I need to transport 6 cockerels to return them to the breeder. They're between 12-14 weeks old and currently living together with the pullets we're keeping. It's a 40min drive.

Should I have them in separate boxes? How much space should I give them if they can go in a box together?

If not, you can probably get several together in a medium-sized pet carrier.

If going back to a breeder, I'd want them looking pretty if they are to be inspected.

Can you wrap them in towels secures with maybe ducktape? with their heads out, of course.

They do fight a bit, 2 of them in particular. They're being taken back since we don't want roosters, having bought them as chicks. So just don't want them to injure themselves in the process.
I wondered if they calm enough once in a dark box to have them together.

They do perfectly fine in feed bags

A cardboard box with holes for air will do just fine. They will not fight in a box. I have even transported adult roosters together without fighting.

I would not buy birds from a breeder that takes back birds.
