Hi so I have 6 duck eggs and they all internally pipped but one that I’m not sure. Two of them internally pipped yesterday. And haven’t broke the shell yet. They are moving a lot . And tapping on the egg. Should I make a safety hole? Should I not? This is my first hatch. And since yesterday I’ve added 2 cups of water but the humidity gage isn’t saying it’s getting about 57....
Your thoughts?

I just tried putting a whole in one and the screw wasn’t sharp enough. The shells are pretty hard. I added another cup of water. I could hear it chirping . Please help I don’t know what to do

What day are your eggs on? If they are moving about, and tapping, I'd leave them be for now. They should make a external pip soon. Just keep an eye out.

It you are really worried, and feel you should add a safety hole, use a thumbtack. I carve a tiny x over and over until its thin enough to push thru.

Okay! I did create a little safety hole before I saw this because I was sooo worried. And so they have little safety wholes. Like they are very small! Is there a too small for a safety whole?
