@gimmie birdies congrats on the ones who have hatched!! I think I see at least one lav Orpington in the batch! I hope that Betty Notsowhite will hatch soon!

Morning everyone! Sorry for leaving it on a cliffhanger lol, I ended up staying up another hour and a half and finally ended up helping it zip. I could see in the shell so I had waited till the veins had been absorbed then just made a ring of small cracks with my tweezers before moisturizing the membrane a little bit since near the bill hole it was turning a bit brown then left it to push itself out. At around 11:20am I checked and it had successfully escaped containment so I brought it down and let it rest in the brooder with its siblings.

My wife took over checking on them throughout the day while I ended up sleeping till like 6pm and went in to check on them and they are all doing fine and up and running all over like the little crazy poop machines they are! Spent the rest of the night relaxing now that the stressful part is over! The mixed mallard hen is still on her nest but she’s pushed some of the empty shells out now so whatever is happening under her there’s at least some that have hatched.

Here’s the pictures!(just turned the heat lamp off so the pictures weren’t on Mars before turning it back on again)

I have 13 out, and had to help the 12th one, it was sticky.

you can see 13 hatching

The other 5 hatched in the night. I don't know who is who in incubator just have to go by egg shells.

Still waiting on 3. (2 safety holes, one pip.)

IDK 3 EGG LEFT to hatch. I am not sure who is left.below are the dry chicks, I just gave them sips of meat baby food. 3 chicks from last weeks hatch.
