"Mark" a Saipan cross.

I got rid of all the original Saipan,I've kept some of the hybrids. Some like "Mark" are true monsters

The Saipan hybrids showed very fast initial growth and feathering, in a lot of ways similar to the way jersey giants grow. They grow the frame then start packing on the weight. "Mark" is an Ox.lol still hasn't got more than nubs for spurs. I crossed the Saipan with the following breeds,
Welp Slow Grow broilers,Dark Cornish,Barred Rocks,Copper Marans,and jersey giants.

Probably a few more breeds tossed in that I can't remember right now. WHY?
I'm working on a home grown broiler. If you do the research a lot of the heritage breeds had oriental games of one type or another in their initial make up. I like the size and carriage of the Saipan. They also introduced a calming effect into the subsequent offspring. The roosters of the above mentioned breeds all became extremely aggressive towards people. All except the Saipan. They are a truly wonderful breed.
