Saipan, shamo and brazilian chicks

Mine arent aggressive at all really, my laying hens which are australorp/ orpington mixes are way meaner lol. I think thats just cause there older and been around here longer though. I would imagine if not properly controlled an adult male could do some major damage. My rooster was the sweetest bird ever though and he would never take a treat for himself, always gave it to the girls. Really there very nice birds as long as you keep them properly.

Ok so, everyones probly seen the freak chicken with a hand but most of my other chicks have a single talon along the outside of the arm as well. Im just wondering if this is a common thing amongst chicken or is it just my birds. Ill get some pics later to show better. It looks cool if nothing else, I do get scratched by them occasionally cause the nail is sharper than on the feet but not bad. Im just curious as to if my birds are mutants! lol I have always thought I lived to close to that nuclear plant...

No, they aren't mutants. You are apparently breeding birds who are closer to their dino roots than the typical backyard flock. Those little wing-claws come in handy for scratching eyes so be careful handling your birds!
