now i know there are quite a few threads on this but i couldn't find any with pictures, so could you all please give me loads of different wonderful designs and ideas on this topic or at least point me in the direction of some already uploaded pictures some where else.

one idea i heard of was getting cloth with holes in it which you put over the top of a pot that has seeds in it and when the grass or foliage that you plant in the pot grows up through the holes the chickens can eat eat the tops to their hearts content and because they cant scratch the roots of the grass out it keeps on growing.

Hey, as it happens I've just built one of sorts after seeing it on here (although can't find the post now). I waited for some wire mesh going cheap and then built a frame for it. I've put grass seed down but it'll be a few weeks before i see any sprouts i think.
