Question: do you have any idea how long I might process these in a pressure canner? I do have an instant pot, but have never used it for pressure canning.
I don't "can" stuff, like meat or green beans, in my Instant Pot either. It's not safe.

I feel totally safe making caramel sauce (dulce de leche) this way. The sweetened condensed milk has already been professionally canned in its processing. I'm just cooking it under pressure in a canning jar.

Want more info on making this stuff? I'd love to be a taste tester in this kitchen. Ok, my tongue would love it, my hips and thighs would not.

Well, I ordered some filter material. Now I hope the whole thing wasn't a scam. Ever heard of Temu? Nope, me neither. I guess it's like Ama,zon...? My USPS tracking number doesn't seem to exist in the postal system. I might order from somewhere else, just to be sure I get something.
Sally, did your Temu order ever arrive???

Gotcha! Thanks so much. Do you store it on a shelf, unopened? I'm excited to try this!

Yes! Along with ENDLESS emails from them! I did "unsubscribe" from them, and that took care of it. I think.

I bought something from the "Favorites" catalog, and will not be using them again. I used to order from them every year. My item did arrive, and is fine. Here's why I won't use them again.

The paper catalog "urged" me to call and place my order, instead of sending it in by mail, because items could be on back order. Ok, even though I had 2 months before I needed the gift, I didn't want to not get it. So I called. Said up front I was ordering one item (that could have gone in one ear and out the other). Ordered my one item, and yes, it was on b/o and was expected to be in stock in two weeks. Plenty of time.

Your next item?
Nope, just the one.
But the next two items will be 15% off.
Don't need anything else, just the one.
But we have XYZ on sale.
Nope
, just the one.
Would you like to become a member of our (whatever) club? You can get (whatever perk).
No, thank you.
Blah blah blah about whatever other thing I can get you to sign up for?
Look, I know you have to say all this stuff, but I don't want anything else.
Your email address, so we can notify you of when your order ships?
Gave it to them, and wish I hadn't.

I am getting Favorites emails, 2-3 a day. I click on unsubscribe, and a mailer daemon says it cannot deliver it.
:barnie :tongue:he

I really like getting their catalog, just for the funny T-shirts they have. I got a shirt for a friend who is retiring at the end of the year. I don't know what the dress code is where she works, but maybe she could wear this on her last day:

I'm retired.
You're not.
Have fun going to work tomorrow.

Yes, after you make it, the lid seals on the jar, just like if you canned tomatoes. In fact, when you open the Instant Pot lid and take the jar(s)* out, you'll hear it pop! as the lid seals. It'll still be boiling inside. Let it cool, store in the cupboard. Out of view.

*My IP holds 3 pint jars on the trivit. I see NO reason to make fewer than 3 jars of this stuff at a time. Really? Why waste the electricity!

Oh. Yeah. There's the self control of not opening the jar and eating this with a spoon. If you have 3 jars, give 2 away. :lau Or hide them really well.
