Salutations from the chicken yard

I've decided that I am now going to be a chicken owner for the rest of my life for as long as I can. I love chickens and got my first pair when I was 10 (one turned out to be a rooster, oops! But the other was a hen. Lucky day). I've moved a lot, went to school, and rented, so I could never own chickens again until now. I know nothing about chicken breeds but was recently introduced to a mini chicken breed and absolutely fell in love! The next chickens I get will be those tiny ones (not sure about breed name). For now, I have 2 hens and an unknown sex of mixed breed, so that's making life fun *sarcasm*... We started off with 2 at the end of summer, had something get one and injure the other, so we were down to one until I decided that one just was too easy to care for and she needed a buddy again, so why not add 2 more to make it a nice even 3 chickens?
