cari, thank you so much for the effort you put into this feed coop.the girls love there scratch.wish i could give you more of a tip for all your efforts.

chef glen, what can i say.he carried that serama home on his lap and our dd had the black boy on hers.
when we got home in came the chickens and watched a short movie with mama rose on his lap.
they are pooling there $$ for chicken diapers.
also as soon as we got home brewed up a cup of some oh so yummy coffee.
thank you for bringing them and coffee to the meet up.
such simple pleasures

Crazy henz-the meal worms will be greatly enjoyed by the girls.we wanted them to train the moderns to reach up and extend there bodies and show off those crazy long legs for his 4 H.

Everyone- It is so nice to meet others that are into the same things.
Nice seeing you all again and meeting new friends.

renee

Yep, I'm in trouble for bringing home more chickens than I left with....

I have next weekend to try to sell off my Buff Orps and Barred Rocks. If anybody had a lead for me, its appreciated, otherwise I'll be bringing them to Norco with me, then Craigslist or feedstore. They are sweet little future layers?? Anybody??

Jacob- That little Phoenix just LOVES Jessica. He is the sweetest, calmest little chick when he's hanging out with her. I really think he kinda picked her. I've always wanted a Cochin, so that little baby (

that its a female) is exciting for me.

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words and you are welcome! I enjoy being able to help everyone get such a wonderful food for their beloved pets. I tell you I've never had such healthy birds until I put them on this stuff- I believe in it 100%!

Thank you Chaili for helping me with my coop and helping load/ unload all the bags!

DesertDarlene, it was wonderful talking birds with you- you are so knowledgeable about them! It's amazing how you know them individually and their families and what they've done over the last few years, just incredible!

Desirae- give the babies a wonderful home and please tell me if you ever need to re-home the little AM girl.

Also, let me know if you ever need anything. Oh and your quail coop looks great!

Thank You, Tammy.

I know that it could be a sign of overheating, but it has been going on now for at least 3 month. So I do not think that she is overheated for the entire time and if so, why? An internal infection, some kind of enteritis? Some parasites what the "Wazine" or "Valbazen" did not catch? However, I picked her up again tonight and she sure is in great shape if not the heaviest of my girls.

Everyone else: What a great day again at Lake Murray! I think it turned out to be bigger than anybody would have expected. So many nice birds (I REALLY NEED TO STOP COMING TO THOSE MEETINGS AS I ALWAYS WANT TO GET MORE CHICKENS
hu.gif
, loved the Polish and the Buff Silkie Roo) , nice food and drinks (Glenn: your coffee always rocks!!!). Of course we missed some familiar faces: (Lynne, Allison, Cara, Dee, Pam, Rockerchic, flower and others .......)

Suzanne: Thank You again for the tomato plants. I usually have a green thumb and hopefully the heirlooms will thrive here with the coastal fog as well.

Rene: The soap smells so good..........

hatching fever: it was a pleasure to meet you both. Let me know if you want to try your own mealworm breeding and I will be more than happy to provide pupae or beetles if available (sneak them in......Mom does not have to know.......just kidding: usually it is easier if Mom knows and is on your side).

Cari: Congrats on that cool looking quail egg. If you get more in the future, I would like to buy some from you for cooking.

Have a very Happy Easter everyone.

What another great afternoon - I always learn so much.

Thanks again to Cari for keeping us fully stocked with feed.

My BLRW appears to be broody again - I should look back at the posts to see when the last time was - right before Dana's - so must be about a month - I don't have a rooster, so she'll be waiting forever....she seems much more determined this time - two nights in the nest. I may have to break down and get a couple of fertile eggs for her!

Will do! I'm working on expanding my quail project now, so we should have more eggs very soon!
