I used to always hope for snow at our house, not any more!! Its nice to visit but I'm not ready to live in it after this crazy cold winter. Its our first winter out here, so we have been adjusting.

In less cheerful news, the young chicken that I thought was the sole pullet from a batch of 4 crowed today.

Nooooooooooooo. I'm not ready to do this again yet, and darnit I had started letting myself like her/him. I was suspicious 2 days ago when he picked up a blade of grass and made the "eat this!" noise to his mother.

He's in the garage in a crate and I'm stressing.

Does anyone have any type or Ameraucana and/or RIR or German New Hampshire hatching eggs available next week?? Interested in these breeds but not wanting to have them shipped.

I have Easter eggers... not pure Americauna (roo is silkie/polish mix.) I will only have a dozen or so. Free if interested. Would only ask for a few chicks in return . I will have pure eggs in the coming weeks.

Still in search of a pure polish roo.

Oh my! If anyone in SD needs a quick chick fix they should come to Gails house they are popping like popcorn all over the place! She has hundreds of eggs in the bators again, and more hatching every week. Anyone up for an intervention? 12 Step program? Chick extravaganza sale! Help!

I am expecting early spring lambs! One I will be for sure selling is going to be half Babydoll Southdown and half Mini Cheviot!!!! It should be super cute!!!
