I was surprised on how tiny her egg is. Here is a picture of her egg compare to my silkie's one (silkie is the one on the right)


 
We have some new babies this morning...







She had eight eggs, but I've only seen four chicks so far... at least one is a full Marans (I saw the egg shell). The other could be a 2nd generation Olive Egger. I didn't want to bug her too much, so I took these with a long lens from far away. Sweet babies!

Congratulation to all of you. They look SO cute and adorable! Mama did an awesome job!
 
I needed to clean up egg shrapnel and a nasty broody poop this morning, so Mama was nice enough to let me have a good look at all of her hatchlings... seven out of eight hatched. Six Marans or 2nd gen OEs (four blues and two blacks) and the cutest little tiger striped Silver Campine.

Is there anything cuter than new chicks?
