I am just getting back in to raising chickens after 3 year hiatus (possibly getting 3 11week RI reds and 3 barred rocks from a CL seller). Was looking into growing fodder from whole wheat seed. Anyone have a suggestion for North County supplier that carries it (Encinitas area)? thanks

i know this is a weird request does anyone have a rooster they dont mind me butchering?
i was asked to do instruct on butchering and well i have no more roosters available.did them all up last week.
they wanted to come over today ,found this out this morning.so if your close to ramona please pm me with age and price

Phage and I were never able to meet up to get that huge egg to her, so we took it with us on vacation. My husband cooked it this morning and rather than being a double yolker it was just one huge yolk. It looked like it was another, much larger bird's egg. I will have to keep an eye on that lady. I knd of wish I had incubated it to see if a giant chick would have hatched.

I have hatched giant eggs that were possible double yolkers, and they do hatch giant chicks with huge bellies. A week later though they look like a regular chick.
