San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

That is cool! Maybe I should change my name!
When are you going back home again (Philippines)?
I am leaving the Thursday before Easter. It will just be a quick trip. Just long enough to kiss the wife, cuddle the kids, give instructions on building a few more coops and setting as many eggs as I can carry. I will be back on the Tuesday

Cari, if the other incubators don't work out I have a Hovabator (without a turner or fan - just the bare bones incubator). I have nothing to hatch so you could use it as long as needed.

Cari, I'd lend you my Genesis (which is I know is nowhere near a Brinsea) but someone has already borrowed it, and it's full of her eggs. I hope you find something soon!

I am hoping my cochin eggs will hatch. Setting them tonight to restart my tiny suburban flock.
If it doesn't work out I'll be looking for local cochin eggs or chicks. :) the large ones, not bantams.

Cari I have a brinsea 20 octagon you can use, but it has no turner. You should be able to use your turner though.

The only issue is that it needs to run on 240 V (it came from the UK) which you may have in for a stove or washing machine. It will also work with an inverter. We ran it on the kitchen counter plugged into the stovetop supply that dh wired in for our UK appliances. Got fabulous hatches even with "hand 'tipping" a few times a day before and after work.

No point though if you don't have 240v though......

PM'd you, thank you!!!

Is there any interest out there in Cotton Patch Goslings or hatching eggs? My Delilah has laid 3 eggs & is working on her 4th. I will have her hatch her clutch if someone is interested in babies. Or if someone is interested in hatching eggs. Let me know.

IF I was ready to get geese, Cotton Patch would be the ones! Hope they go to a good home!
