cotton patchwwmicasa1" url="/t/384942/san-diego-chicken-meetup-and-chat-thread/8230#post_10484040"] I want the eggs! Do you have a pic of the parents? Is there any interest out there in Cotton Patch Goslings or hatching eggs? My Delilah has laid 3 eggs & is working on her 4th. I will have her hatch her clutch if someone is interested in babies. Or if someone is interested in hatching eggs. Let me know. [/quote]

Heather, You have more than one? You need to post a pic of you next to them so we can get an idea of how big they are.

I have one, but I just purchased a ram and two pregnant ewes. My single ewe was lonely. I'll try to get someone to take a picture of me and her tomorrow. She's really small, under her wool her shoulder is probably around the height of my knee. Shes supposed to be 19 inches tall, i'll measure her myself when she's sheared this spring. I doubt she weighs more than 50-60 lbs as I can pick her up.

Here is 120 eggs ready to be hatched!!! Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, White Ameraucanas, and Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas.

So cute.... can't wait to see the babies!!!!
Anyone have a favorite bedding for nesting boxes? I have been using shavings but my ladies make such a huge mess with them.
Maybe you should add a "lip" in front of the nesting boxes. Mine use to make a mess too (I use pine shavings and on top of it I add some bermuda) but with that lip they behave very well lol.
If anyone is interested in lots of pics of my farm and goaties and updates here is my journaling thread;

New Turkey Coop: =) 100% Recycled materials. =)

Nice set up!
Those babies are just too cute!!!!
I can't wait to get some goats.... We are planning on getting some nigerian dwarf but we need to make the fence first. We just finished our last breeding coops today and still have a lot of left over material. We would like to utilize the extra beams and 2 by 3, buy some chain link, and after we will need to build them a shelter. So if anyone can help me out and give me a 101 goat lesson, I am all ears!
