the color of your OE eggs. I am so tempted to buy your 24 hour auction. I think I may be out of room too. I have to dust off some of the incubators that have not seen the light of day. Decisions, decisions.

I'll try to get a pic today. Do you have any dark eggs layers? I have Black Copper Marans - and this particlular strain are good layers, too... They lay eggs that start out very dark in the beginning of the season and lighten as it goes, so you get all different shades of rich dark brown. Here are some of my OE an BC Marans eggs for now. You can see the OE eggs color can vary and the Marans eggs are not always as dark as in the picture.

OMG! I want Emu eggs. I was just telling the neighbor's girlfriend that I saw a picture and they are stinking cute. I wish I was closer and not in Los Angeles. Then again, will they even fit in a regular incubator? I would not know the first thing about hatching them. Emu's are not in my incubating manual.

MIRIAM??????????????

Nancy

Would anyone be interested in Emu eggs? I have a friend with some and I can't incubate them right now due to my bators being full. There are 4 of them. They would have to be incubated ASAP to keep fertility high. Let me know.

Hello, everyone!

I just picked up some 3-day old chicks for my Mom, and have one more that just popped out from the raffle, but she would like to get some green eggs in her basket. She has asked me if there are any Easter Eggers available out there -- two would be perfect -- but we're committed to a week old or less (my life is complicated enough without mixing ages). Does anyone have EE chicks or OE chicks a week old or less that they would be willing to part with? Females are the only thing we can keep (or we will be posting a "can anyone take the illegal chicken" ad in a few months).

Any help, anyone? Please PM me if you might have something for us. My Mom's house is Nirvana for chickens, and they are pets for her. They would have lots of room to run around, and would be buried with a ceremony when (hopefully) they die of old age, if that tells you anything.

Those are gorgeous eggs. I only have blue and green egg layers right now. Last year my broody hatched out 3 FBCM, but they all turned out to be boys. I would like dark layers someday, but my hubs allows only a few new birds per year, and there are currently 6 in the brooder.

Hey I wanted to offer up my wellie eggs and chicks.
I have started into my yearly funraiser for the local pregnancy center in Ramona.
Each year we, as a family, do the walk together to raise funds for the center.Since it is NOT under government rule it solely runs on donations alone.

For every $15 donation on thier website I will drop off dozen welsummer eggs at norco
for every $20 donation on thier website I will mail you a dozen eggs.
This is my web page on their site.http://www.gifttool.com/athon/MyFundraisingPage?ID=1414&AID=1941&PID=265649
