Santa Clara County in California. Help!

Where can I find information about the rules for Santa Clara County in CA?
Or does anyone know the rules?
Or do the laws & ordinances exist via cities instead?

Sorry about these questions. I am completely new to this! I am planning on buying some chickens soon but don't know what would be appropriate!

I too live in Santa Clara county but not in the city and can not find any information on the chicken regulations. Have you had any luck with this yet?

I used to show at the Santa Clara County fair when I was in 4-H. Call the county and they can help you or call the local 4-H club, there are many.
