Hi all,

I know it is still way early to determine the gender on these Sapphire Gems, but I wanted to document their growth. The first 3 pics are of Hennifer (darker), and the last 3 pics are of Huckleberry (lighter). They are 2 weeks old in these pictures.

Females! Sapphire gems are Sexlinks, and yours don’t have the telltale male barring. Lucky you!
I read through the 55 page post about the Gems and thought the barring doesn’t show until later? I am keeping my fingers crossed though lol

I have Sapphire Gems! My two girls are great ♥ I didn't handle mine a whole lot as babies but they're still not afraid of me and will usually walk right up to me. They don't want to be held but if I grab one anyway she's fine with it and just talks to me as I pet her. Their eggs got big pretty quickly and are a nice brown color. One of the girls laid a double yolker the other day. I think they're around 5 and a half months old?

Males have a bright yellow spot on their heads and females are just solid blue all over.
