Your single post wasn’t ignored, it’s way too early to know what type of chicks those were. You didn’t even answer a key question on the last reply. Once they’re fully feathered and we get info on some colour, etc, maybe someone can helpI already tried my own thread with no success. I got noticed on this thread though
You're not breaking any rules. It's just that the more knowledgeable identification peeps here won't typically click on old threads.I never started my post was ignored. Some time has passed and was checking again with updated photos. the more people that see my post the more likely I will get more knowledge. Am I breaking rules by asking here? I want to be a good cyber steward.
Looks like he's probably a Sapphire OE.He has a strip of black going down the front of his legs. He is very docile and relaxed. He tends not to assert his ranking, except to defend it from the other cockerel when challenged. I got him at Atwood's. He was in the "specialty breed through. They come from Hoover's. I have another cockerel who I believe is a Black Australorp, but it's a guess since he was in a mixed through that said "assorted heavies" he has a small patch of maybe three under wing feathers of white. And you can see a green shimmer in the light against his black feathers
Btw I appreciate you.
I asked Hoover's if they could send me a list of breeds sent to that Atwoods in their last shipment but they said they don't have a way of doing that....
