Hello everyone!
I see lots of people with threads of their chickens, so I thought I should do one!
I've got 10 hens and no roosters.
2 Light brahmas
2 barred rocks
1 EE
1 Delaware
1 buff orpington
1 red sex link
1 black Australorp
1 white rock
The barred rocks, EE and Buff Orpington are all about a year. We got them for "The nealy ranch".
The rest are from the awesome and trusted "chickens for backyards"! They are a great hatchery and I highly recommend them! I don't have anything negative to say about them.
From my pullets, three of them are laying.
The black Australorp, white rock and red sex link.
Our Ausralorp was the first to lay out of our younger pullets. She layed her first egg on Friday.
Our white rock was the next one to lay.
She layed on a Sunday. Her very first egg was a double yolk! I've got a pic I'll post later!
Then our sex link. I'm not sure what day she layed on, but she played a good looking one!
And we think Amy, our Brahma will be the next layer! She already does the egg squat!
Here are some pics!
This is our EE. She was very shy and skittish when we first got her. But now she's a calm good girl.
She's a pullet in this pic, and very curious about the camera!
Here's Amy and Cindy together! They are light brahmas, they are almost 5 months old now! It goes by way too fast!
Here is Amy now. I'm giving her a bath!
Here is Cindy! Very curious about the leaf! And thinks it's tasty!
Here's Amy again
I'll do the rest later!
