scabs on combs

Okay so I just did some research and they do have fowl pox...I'm so sad! my poor girls.....Is there anything I can do to help them get over it faster? anything I could put on the lesions?

doesn't hurt to dab some neosporin on the combs..
and keep an eye out for problems eating or drinking.

anytime they have something going on..vitamins and extra protein helps them recover faster..

go around and look for any standing water where mosquitoes will breed.

Okay I will do the neosporin on the scabs...They are still eating great and drinking. I don't think I can control the mosquitos...I live in texas...Is there a high mortality rate for this disease? or do most chickens get through it okay? Whats funny is that my 2 hens that are laying haven't given me any eggs in three or four days....

actually, undiluted betadine or iodine applied directly on the spot will help dry it out and is recommended in most of the articles I have read.
